Rutgers is one of the best dressed universities in the world (in our opinion). With a plethora of stylish international students and our location 50 minutes from the fashion capital of the world, NYC, we have no option but to be trendy. The best time to catch RU trendsetters is during the autumn when Scarlet Knights pull out their best jackets, vintage sweaters, and comfortable scarfs. Most of all, it’s when we get to just be comfortable in our own skin.
Our fashion odyssey begins on the Livingston campus.
I got this shirt when I went to the Yeezus concert last year. I was right next to Kanye West while he was performing. I still can’t believe it.
What are you listening to the most? Right now it’s Young Thug, but I have a diverse music palate.
How would you describe your style? Goes with my mood. One day I can dress girly, another day fan girl. It depends on the day. I always do my nails; I have a huge nail polish collection.
I’m an international student from the UK, studying at Rutgers only for one semester.
What inspired your outfit? Social media and some of the fashion blogs I follow. Also the red lipstick is inspired by Khloe Kardashian.
Favorite part about Rutgers? How big and diverse it is. I was surprised to find how much school spirit people have. It’s very different from home.
What you wear is how you present yourself to the world, especially today, when human contacts are so quick. Fashion is instant language. — Miuccia Prada

Modeling is something I do for fun, and it brings me happiness. It’s a way for me to find who I am.
Favorite part about Rutgers: My dance team is my favorite part at Rutgers. Being able to do something that I love freely (dancing).
How do you define your style? It’s just a way for me to express myself, how I’m feeling and to communicate who I am
