Yasmeen Elsakary is a Pharmacy student whose interest in the field got sparked by her love of chemistry. She is interested in learning how different pharmaceutical medications can affect the human body. Yasmeen plans on going against the stereotypical view of pharmacists by aiming to be more than just a “medication expert.”

As a student studying at the Rutgers Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy, Yasmeen has had a tremendous amount of opportunities to enhance her experiences and help cultivate her career goals and interests even further.
“With so many different opportunities at Rutgers, such as funding for undergraduate research, stipends for conferences, and many partnerships with some of the industry’s biggest names, Rutgers has definitely helped shape me into the well-rounded individual that I am today. The abundant resources at Rutgers have allowed me to continue learning beyond the classroom, providing us pharmacy majors with that competitive edge needed in any tough job market.”
