Will Allison is in his last year at Rutgers in the School of Engineering majoring in Aerospace Engineering. He mainly focuses on researching and designing rockets.
“Researching and designing them is the best way to work with rockets short of flying them… There’s so much history yet to be written on aircraft design; it’s a ripe field to be in.”
Lately, Will has been focusing his studies on computational fluid dynamics, or how to use computers to stimulate different aerodynamics situations such as efficient airflow of a wing. One of his favorite parts about his major is how helpful and supportive his professors are.
Rutgers has some very enthusiastic engineering professors. I still turn to my past professors when I need input.”
Will’s goal after graduation is to work for a small aircraft company, and pilot for bush flying jobs out in remote areas of the world.
