Rutgers Entrepreneurship Day welcomed students and local entrepreneurs to discuss their business ideas through pitch presentations about their developing projects. Notable speeches included keynote speaker Steve Wozniak, Apple Computers Inc. co-founder.
Wozniak addressed an attentive crowd of entreprenuers, students, alumni, and investors about his humble beginnings where at a young age he was fixated by wires and and radio transmission by obtaining a radio operating license at 10 years old. It was not long until he discovered his passion for programming and building computers, which lead to the technological innovations that rule the marketplace today. Later on Wozniak autographed various Enthusiastic fans awaited Wozniak in the Rutgers College Ave Gym to recieve pictures, autographs, and pitch their ideas to the renowned computer engineer.
A space was also given in the Rutgers College Ave Gym for a poster walk-throughs informing onlookers of various new startup companies. This allowed investors and the Rutgers community to become educated on inventions pitched to or from Rutgers to the marketplace. Rutgers is ranked as one of the top 10 universities in the United States for start-up companies.
